We can only accomplish this with the best and brightest minds working in urban planning, preservation, and design today!

Under my guidance, the Department of Planning and Development will:

1) launch three community-based planning offices in 2016 ("neighborhood home-bases"), each with an associate design director, a community location, and a full planning and design team comprised of all the design disciplines;

2) create a new division of strategic planning, including an office of sustainability;

3) create a new division of zoning innovation and historic preservation; and

4) open "The Office of Yes," which will administer special projects fueled by grant/foundation dollars.

We are in the process of hiring at every professional level, from junior to senior--city planners, landscape architects, architects, urban designers, and historic preservation professionals.
